I have been thinking about an issue for several days. That's about the birthday present for my uncle whose birthday is in five days. What can I buy for him? I still have no idea. Thus I determine to visit James and talk over it together.
"What about a watch? It's very useful in daily life." James suggests.
"But I bought one for him last year." I look at him with a frown.
"Er… Why not buy him a camera? Don't you mention that he likes to travel a lot?"
"A camera? I don't think it's a good idea. He seldom takes pictures when travelling." I shake my head, "Once he said he preferred to enjoy the beauty with his eyes and ears."
"Then what's the best for him? Do you have any idea about his hobbies?" James also finds it difficult to prepare a proper gift at the moment.
"Let me see. Er… He usually listens to music. You are not going to tell me to buy him a radio, are you?" I nearly laugh.
"That can be possible, too." he replies and laughs, "Have you considered buying a car DVD? I think it will be a cool present."
"Car DVD? Why didn't I think of it?" The idea makes me feel enlightened, "He seems to be unsatisfied with his car DVD player because of the poor quality and lack of multiple functions. It must be a nice present."
"I think an in-dash car DVD can be a good choice." said James, "As a car entertainment device, it has various functions. Installed in the front dash panel, it can be connected with a reversing camera, and that's helpful and important for the security of the driver and the vehicle.
"OK. Both of CD and DVD can be played in the player, right?"
"Yes. But you still have to pay attention to the functions of different car DVD. The devices have more and more functions due to the development of technology. All of car DVDs have the basic function of disc-reading, and most allows reading SD card and USB flash disk. Some of them receive radio frequency and some are able to receive TV signals. You can choose a car DVD supporting video games if your uncle likes to play games when having a break, or there are young kids in their family."
"Oh, I see. You really know the car DVD well." I feel a little surprised. Why haven't I noticed that?
"Well, I am a fan of car DVD. By the way, you can search on eBay for less expensive product with better quality." James adds.
"OK. Thanks. You really do me a big favour today."
"You're welcome. You can ask me anytime if you still have questions. I'm glad to offer help on something I know." James says with a big smile.
What a nice day! The cool birthday present has been determined, and the next step for me is to find out which kind of car DVD to buy and how to buy.
