Dodgy Parking in the UK

in Car

Parking can be a bit of an issue for even the best of drivers, but some take it to a whole other level. You see cars parked almost diagonally in spaces and sticking out of the room left for them, but police across the world have compiled a list of the most appalling parking that they have seen, and made it available to the general public. There are some hilarious anecdotes, like the driver who managed to land his car perfectly in the middle of a swimming pool. Fire-fighters were called to the scene to see if they could remove the vehicle that had become lodged across the width of the pool, at the bottom.

Another driver managed to overshoot a jetty, crashing their car into a boat and leaving it precariously balanced between the jetty edge and the side of the boat. Others include the car who parked on the line in a car park between two cars, so neatly rammed into the space that there was no way anyone would have been able to get out of the seats, only through the skylight!

A four by four driver in America struggling to park managed to impale his car on a round concrete ball at the side of the road that was there for beautification purposes, and another managed to drive his car straight through a wall, so half was on each side. There are some other terrible parking experiences including a driver who overstepped the mark and managed to dangle her car over a wall in a car park, and another driver who parked on the beach and came back to find his car half immersed in water.

If you have trouble parking then you can take a pass plus course, which is designed to advance driver skills in tricky situations like parking, night driving and adverse weather conditions.

It may also help to reduce your car insurance premiums as you get a certificate to pass on when you have completed the course.

If you are driving in the UK then ensure that you have Car Insurance. Cheap policies are readily available online and will protect you from any accident or theft.
