The environment has become increasingly important for many of us and so there has been a significant increase in the number of green auto accessories for cars. These accessories do anything from tell you to drive more efficiently, to save on other important areas and are a positive for the environment. So, if you want to drive in a more ethical fashion, what are the best green car accessories?

Tyre Gauge

We may not live in the middle of the UAE, however that isn't to say we can't find some use for the sun. So, how about a solar powered tyre gauge for measuring the amount of air and pressure in your tyres? It's double green as it also reduces the wasted fuel emissions that are produced through driving on underinflated rubber. These gauges are commonly available and can save you the trouble of running out of battery.

Waterless Wash

Though having no water for a wash may seem like a desert without sand, it is possible. There are a number of places on earth where water is in short supply that has waterless washes – but how? These washes use chemicals and other various items to leave the inside and outside of a car spick and span.

Power it Up

How about a 12v solar battery charger with crocodile clips? This battery charger will not only charge your battery but do so through the power of the sun. It also means you won't ever be caught short again in a car park and have to call the AA, or whoever else, to rescue you. They can also be charged conventionally through connection to the cigarette lighter and are wise green car accessories to have.

Recycle

Of course we all need to recycle and what better way to ensure that your car's rubbish is split into the appropriate manner than a green car bin.

These bins are usually clipped onto the front seat's back and have two split bins. This allows you the ease of emptying your recycling and your other rubbish when you need to – auto accessories for the times we live in.

Mats

How about a recycled rubber mat? Think of all the oil that goes into making rubber and think of all the tyres burned and wasted – a lot isn't it. Well one company have created a recycled rubber mat from old tyres – meaning you're saving on oil and also have a great car accessory talking point.
