Maruti India is soon putting a full stop on the production of its most successful small car, Maruti 800. Speculations in the market suggest that the substitute of Maruti 800 will be Suzuki Cervo, which will soon arrive in the country. The fresh Maruti Cervo will give a tough competition to cars like Hyundai i10 and Chevrolet Beat. The new small car is expected to be rolled out by the end of this year and would be positioned between Maruti Alto and A-Star.

However, Maruti Suzuki India hasn’t given any official word about the launch of Maruti Cervo, but its specifications are already floating in the market. Starting with engine, the car will be powered by 658cc of MPFI petrol engine with three cylinder four valves per cylinder. The engine will comfortably churn out 54 BHP of peak power at the rate of 6500 rpm and 64 Nm of peak torque at the rate of 3500 rpm. The engine will be carefully coupled with five speed manual transmission ensuring great mileage. Coming to the looks of the car, it will stretch out to a length of 3395mm along with 1475mm and 1535mm of width and height. The 13 inches of steel wheels will be fitted into the beautifully carved wheel arches thereby enhancing the exteriors of the car to a large extent.

Maruti Cervo will have a very modish and sleek look and would come out to be a perfect urban car. This four seater car will have a hatchback design that would make it is easier for people to glide through heavy traffic in the city areas.

The major highlights of the car would comprise of air conditioning system, power steering and comfortable seats. The body colored handles and body colored bumpers along with external mirrors will be offered depending on the variant one chooses.

The interiors of the car will try to battle it out with Chevrolet Spark, Chevrolet Beat, Hyundai i10 and Hyundai Eon, which means the major stress will be laid on the quality of the materials used in the interiors of upcoming Cervo. Its top trims are likely to be blessed with high class safety features such as airbags and anti lock braking system.

So far there is no word about the finalized launch date, but by the end of the Indian car market will see Maruti Cervo running on the Indian streets with proud. The pricing details of this new M800 substitute have been kept under the hood as well, but one thing is for sure that India’s largest car maker will keep the price tag of Cervo easy on pocket and extremely affordable. The company hopes that this substitute of M800 will be a great success just like its other cars in the market.
