The 2013 Ford Escape: Looking Forward to another Great Year of Cars

in Car

It seems as if the car industry has always something in store for the avid car buyer every year. It usually takes years at the drawing board to come up with a brand new design for a car stamped with an age-old legacy. New cars are always something to look forward to when you visit a local car dealership.

Take the new 2013 Ford Escape for example; set to be in the market this spring of 2012. As of April, the assembly team at the Louisville Assembly Plant is honing its skills and mastering the ropes in the art of making another world-class car. The factory itself has also been upgraded to help the assembly team craft the new Escape from the ground up. What makes the new Escape worth waiting for?

That’s the exciting part: it’s not yet out in the market but you can tell that it’s good. For years, the Ford Escape has been one of the brand’s best-selling compact SUVs in the market. Believe it or not, the Escape was designed with the help of Mazda, in which it released its own compact SUV at the same day the Escape was released.

The first two generations of the Escape featured a simple, box-like design typical of many SUVs. Ford wanted to introduce a new futuristic concept for the 2013 Ford Escape simply by thinking outside the box. You can see that the rear side window for the new Escape is in an inverted trapezoid shape, different from the rhombus shape from the past generations.

Another nifty addition to the new Ford Escape is its innovative, hands-free liftgate system. This is pretty useful if your hands are full carrying your cooler or any heavy cargo.

It works by simply putting your foot under the bumper where sensors will activate the rear hatch automatically. A Ford dealer Indianapolis says you don’t have to put down your cooler when opening the hatch anymore.

Apart from the new features of the 2013 Ford Escape, much of its past features will be carried over. For compact SUV lovers and avid car fans, 2012 may be another year to look forward to despite the pinching gas prices. Wait for the new Escape to come to a Ford dealer Indianapolis IN has to offer near you.
