It is well known that cars do not design and build themselves. Each car has to be designed and created by some sort of team of creative thinkers. Let's have a look at exactly what elements have to be considered.
Exterior
The exterior design of the car would entail the shape of the vehicle. This includes everything from the general shape of the vehicle to the type of the actual wheel arches and the small flares and flutes that you find upon some vehicles. The outside is the skin of the car. this begins with drawings and computerized drawings. They are used to produce clay models and finally a full size model.
Interior
The interior of the vehicle is where all of the luxury is. The interior would depend on the objective of the vehicle. A less expensive car may have less attention paid to the inside while a sports car will have a lot of attention paid to the layout and look of everything in a car, from the seats to the various dials on the dash board.
Colour and trim
Both of these areas overlap a little with the exterior and interior designs. It might involve choices about what materials to make use of and what colours would go well with each other. It might involve determining whether the car will be a two toned design or perhaps a single colour. The idea is to make the car as unique as is possible inside the parameters given by the objective of the car along with the designs of the interior and exterior of the vehicle.
Graphics
The graphics will be the decals as well as dials and switches and that kind of thing. These are generally included in the color and trim section of the design but they can also be done by a separate team.
