Toyota India had launched one of its most innovative formation Toyota Etios sedan in the Indian automotive industry. The basic design of the car offers a simple and sober looks and it is one of the most affordable luxury and functionally loaded car in Indian car market. The bookings for the car was opened in the month of January 2010 and car got great response from the car buyers. The car offers a stiff competition with the likes of Maruti Swift Dzire, Tata Manza and Hyundai Accent. Along with Etios sedan company also brings a small compact hatch of Etios in the country.

Toyota Etios sedan is available in both petrol and diesel version. The petrol car is available in five different models that are Etios J, G, G safety, V and VX. The diesel model of the car is available in four different models that are Diesel, VD, VXD and GD safety. Toyota Etios J the base petrol motor is tagged at Rs. 4.99 lakh while the top end VX model is priced at Rs. 6.97 lakh. The base diesel motor is tagged at Rs. 6.44 lakh and goes up to Rs. 7.87 lakh for top end model.

The sedan car comes equipped with 1.5 liter petrol engine and a 1364 cc diesel engine. The petrol motor of the car is capable of producing 90 PS of peak torque at 5600 rpm and pumps out maximum torque of 132 Nm at 3000 rpm. Whereas the diesel motor of the car churns out maximum power of 68 PS at 3800 rpm and belts out maximum torque of 170 Nm at 1800-2400 rpm.

Company includes good quality suspension system in the car which enhances its feasibility and offers better driving experience even on rugged areas. The front suspension in the car are independent MacPherson strut while the rear suspension is non-independent Torsion Beam type. The exterior of the car looks sporty and aggressive. The charm of the car is further extended by its exterior ingredients like headlamps, upper smiling grille and lower grille. The rear side is also very identical which includes a big size rain wiper and rear hood. The car has six spoke alloy wheels. Body color rear side view mirrors, door handles and bonnet attracts the car admirers across the nation.

Toyota Etios review suggest that interior of the car misses out many of the ingredients which supposed to be added in the car. The interior of the car also attracts buyers but it is not of Toyota's standard. It looks like Toyota compromises with the interior quality to cut down its price which is the most negative part in the car. The instrument panel comes equipped with speedo and trip which are placed at the middle of the dashboard while the AC vents are in round shape. The three-spoke steering wheel in the sedan car comes in dual tone along with rest of the standard interior. Decent legroom and headroom is available in the car. Car misses out in most of the safety areas like seat belts for all passengers.
